Time flies by at warp speed, and I am still going at a snail's pace.

I did some picture taking yesterday of a nearby cemetery. Oak Grove Cemetery. It's a beautiful old place somewhat spooky.. overgrown.. but still tended. Some of the graves are old, by California's standards and some of them are fresh. It was a beautiful overcast day and it started ( Read more... )

Where is this cemetery? It looks so familiar. My niece is buried in a cemetery near you at Knight's Ferry. She passed away at 16. It looks very much like it and it is near you. It my sister in law hung wind chimes in the tree there too. "Jennifer Michelle White" was her name. I am probably way off but you never know:) I will be coming to Sonora from the 13th through the 17th. I love this time of year there. Everything is so green and fresh. Thanks for the pictures:)

whoa! I just called my sis-in-law but she wasn't home. I haven't been back to the cemetery for a long time so I don't really remember exactly where she is buried. I know my sister in law was really into her gravesite and hung windchimes and planted flowers there. So amazing that you posted those (goosebumps)

that's so sad. I don't think I could handle it if I lost my son. It would be the absolute end of me. : (

beautiful and stunning! the mom's garden pic made me tear up a little...so moving!

and i totally pay attention to the sun and shadows! my birthday usually falls on (like this year) or around daylight savings time...so maybe that's why. but i find it fascinating too! especially in the house we are living in now. there is SO much more light and it just pours into our living room and stairwell (where we house seedlings until it's time to plant them outside).
