The weekend was one of the best! We had a good time, just the two of us. Our first trip alone in 19 years. ... don't get me wrong, my son was never a problem for us. I may be different but I do believe that when you become a parent, that's your #1 responsibility.. not your spouse. Your spouse is an adult and understands that. or should. Now that ( Read more... )

I can't see your pics because Flickr is blocked at work :( :( but it sounds like you had a great time. I'll check out your pics when I get home. Welcome home! :)

We were always a package deal though.

I like that! In fact it is so fitting to something I have been wanting to blog about for some time now. Somethings I need to get off my chest. Thank you :)

Thats really interesting about all the dogs. I am also a cat person as if that is not obvious. I am glad you guys had a great time.

You know I hear the same things from people who have very loving families, maybe it's just a trait of that. :)
I missed not having him there. I had to buy him some souvenirs... :) but at his age.. it was a good thing to do. ... I think.

I'll bet you can see how green I am all the way to California today!

We were a "package deal" too. If people only knew..Sean accompanied us on anniversary dinners--and everywhere else. I think having an only child may have played a part in it too--oh, and homeschooling. Or maybe it's because we have awesome sons ;)

I love how your cottage looks, and the OCEAN! Damn it all, I need a trip to sunny California. BTW, it's cold and rainy today :/

It was fabulous on the coast.. and 90 in our valley -- ugh! today it's supposed to be mid 80's. James went everywhere we went. ... everywhere. When he was in early elementary school.. they gave out some little stickers of his school photo.. his little face. He found our wedding picture and felt it was missing something and stuck his face right in between us. LOL.. I left it. It was too cute and I had plenty of copies of that picture. We DO have awesome sons! :)
