you are not a bad person but i think a lot of times you seem more wrapped up in the implications of that question, in defining your own identity in relation to these various brouhahas, than you are in actually trying to make amends - by which i mean, it often seems as tho it's not primarily about making the people you've hurt or upset feel better, it's about making YOU feel better b/c you don't wanna be seen as that guy.

sometimes you simply do not have the ability to make things right & the best you can do for the other person is just leave shit alone.
