Doing science, still alive.

I'm currently working in a chemistry laboratory for reasons I will not delve into here. Feel free to e-mail me suggestions. You may give me some ideas.

In other news, I've moved semi-permanently from my bedroom upstairs into the drywall-clad depths of the basement. I've always said that in tough economic times like these, there's no shame in living ( Read more... )

You just reminded me that I want to have more sleepovers. Maybe during the summer or something. :D

Oh ye gods, the overactive imagination. I'm not scared of the dark normally; I'm scared of what my brain fills it with. Sometimes a night will start out normally and then I'll ruin it for myself by thinking too much....

It's worth it most of the time. I usually sleep pretty well, although some (especially stormy) nights can get unnerving. And the pillar can get ouchy.

I had no idea you slept in the basement! You must have the mother of all pads, then. Is it ever scary?

FTAIRES! WE HAUE FOUND FTAIRES!

Glad to hear you're still alive - for the moment, anyway XD Are you asking for suggestions on what to cook up in the lab? :D :D :D I hear nitrogen tri-iodide is a hoot...

ROFL! Ftaires! I think everyone commenting here has read that book.

Nitrogen triiodide sounds awesome. I know it's shock sensitive. I don't know if I could get it out of the lab without killing myself. Maybe TNT would be safer. :o

It freaked the bejeezus out of me - I think it's the only non-manga book to ever do that, really. Even reading a translation of Ringu wasn't bad (not even as scary as the movie) but holy crap, House of Leaves, wtf.

Nitrogen triiodide is stable while liquid; it's shock-sensitive only after drying. So it's the perfect prank chemical XD
