New TV!

My brother works at a TV repair shop, but he doesn't necessarily get paid. However, recently a man gave a perfectly good 57" plasma screen TV to the shop (because he thought there were green spots and demanded a refund). So everyone looked, and... the only green that is there is the green that is meant to be. :O So Jacob's boss let us have it. :D

your comments about your tv and an earthquake remind me of when i was younger i had shelves over my bed, and i always used to wonder which part of my bed was safer - the bit by my pillow that would be missed if the shelves fell forwards, or the end of the bed if the shelves fell straight down...

I remember one earthquake when I lived in san diego- the only thing I remember about it wasthinkng that it was a rather lame earthquake- it didn't even knock the pictures off the nails in the wall.

God, that reminds me of when I kept jerking awake, certain that my dresser (which was across from the foot of my bed) was about to fall on me. It wasn't until I stuck my arms out to catch it before it could crush me, that I realized I wasn't in any danger at all.
