DAMN IT'S BIG!! part 2

Well, here it is. Last Friday, I went out to a Costco and bought a HDTV. It's the Vizio VO47LF. It's the newest model. It came out sometime this past January, & my tv came off the assembly in February. It cost me a little over $1,500 (it's the most I've ever spent on a tv). 47 inch screen, full 1080p resolution, 4 HDMI ports. It has a great ( Read more... )

Great choice. Vizio is the highest rated brand in it's bracket. And thanks, now I'm having size issues. My 40" 1080p Samsung is feeling small now in comparison. But I know how you feel about your new set feeling huge....I went from 20" to 40" and was blown away. Yes, it feels normal after a while.

Make sure you bought the 2007 version of Fifth Element. The original Blu-ray version had a poor transfer (I don't remember the year but it's anything before 2007).

And do I spy Sin & Punishment on your Wii? Fun game. And just one Neo Geo game? The Neo Geo has a great catalog....

Cool setup! Geek out all you want. You're entitled. :-)

I made sure that the copy of Fifth Element I ordered was the remastered version.

Yep, Sin & Punishment. As for the Neo Geo games, most are coming out in collections this year, so no need to get them on Virtual Console. And th 2 games you didn't see on that screen was Punch Out & Gunstar Heroes.

Maybe. Right now, the only game I want to play on the 360 is Rez HD.

mythbusters!

Anyway, I think it's time you go shopping now for a proper entertainment center too, instead of having all that crammed in bookcases. ^^

I have never heard of Vizio before are they a new company?
Surprised you didn't go with Sony.

Enjoy!

Someday when I'm not financially in a bind I'll have nice stuff too, it will just have to wait a while.

Vizio has been around for a few years now. They are known for good quality tvs at a somewhat affordable price (which is why you usually don't see them in stores like Best Buy. They tend to cut out the middleman). They've been the number 1 selling tvs for a couple of years now. Sony tvs just cost too much for what you get. For what I spent, if I would have went with sony, I would have only had a 40 inch screen.

And those aren't bookshelves. They are two entertainment racks from Ikea that I bought about 6 years ago for $75 each. Each can hold up to 200 pounds & are quite sturdy.

You have nice stuff. It doesn't have to be the most expensive to be nice. I didn't expect to get or spend as much as I did.

That's fucking awesome dude. I got a 42" Samsung HDTV but it's only 1080i but I'm saving some loot for a huge summer upgrade to my whole system.
You need to let us swing by sometime to so I can see the PS3 in action! What games do you got for it?
