he is as masculine as Tony Clifton here, if you have heard any random rumours about him being gay that is <3<3

hi. i saw this entry on paperbag.
i did something very similiar to this. i went to india and worked with kids with HIV for 2 and a half weeks. by the end of it i was in love with every single one of these kids.
you're right about this: as long as there is passion, love and trust, they will be happy. its a bigger world out there. if we're willing to open our eyes to see it, it will suprise us and astound us in ways words cannot describe.

that really is so beautiful. i just feel that living in a city where everyone is so pampered makes us so ignorant of the less fortunate people, we see them on the screen, we see them on tv, we read about them in the newspapers but i think we just need to see it and feel it for ourselves to really understand.

which organisation did you go with? africa is a place where i really want to go help.

my aunt organised it with the NGO called Naz Foundation (INDIA) Trust. she knew the head of the office so we stayed with her while we were there. i don't live in the states but i live a pampered life too, so i know what you mean.

i would love to go back next year and see those kids again, hopefully alive and well. i can only pray.

i think you are so lucky that your aunt knows the head of NGO. normally it's so hard to actually find organizations which allow you to go along with them unless you are their "star" staff / volunteer, so the only place that i can go to really is China through my school.

it really changed me so much and it is hard for other people to understand when they hafn't been through this. shopping and movies just don't appeal to me anymore, this summer i'm craving to go help more children rather than that typical city girl schedule.

That is wonderful! How did you get the opportunity to participate in such a thing?

this is an annual school organisation, where eighteen lucky students get picked and we get to plan out the trip details. i really would like to do more other than through school though, that being only a few days. i think try contacting unicef, they are likely to have something similar and also on a bigger scale.

i used my ancient film camera to take these photos and i didn't realise the film wasn't finished rewinding, so i opened the film compartment and BAM! light shot in!
