one of my fave first graders brought me a gift that she had made at home (!!!). it was a rice krispies box that she had turned into a 3D bird and stuffed inside was 1. a double-sided crayon drawing with a frog and a fort and a bunny on one side and 2 octupi and a deep sea creature on the other 2. two cut out hearts with designs on them and 3.

we nearly had a small rebellion at school when they told us that we had to return our robes after graduation. When we paid for them, no one knew that we were just RENTING them.

Seriously, because that's the sort of thing you want to wear out on the town.

oh i knew we had to return them. i mean it sucks that renting them costs SIXTY DOLLARS but yeah, i wouldn't really want that thing. now if i got my doctorate, that would be a different story...

tonight i am sitting here writing a paper. i have no motivation except for the fact that its due tomorrow. as a distraction, i went to the store and got some minute maid fruit punch juice, which i havent had in years (and which i would barely call juice). drinking this stuff always makes me think of going to your house as a little kid. my mom never bought it, but you guys always had it. oh man, so good.

glkdfjgfh I AM SO GLAD THAT FRUIT PUNCH MAKES YOU THINK OF OUR CHILDHOOD! I was just telling my dad the story of girl scout camp when your horse kept biting my horse and my horse kicked and we both wound up in a hot mess! Oh, the good old days.
