I want to pilot a group for my middle school girls this year where we basically redefine beauty in our own terms. Barlow Girl is a good group for music that has femmesational stuff. Check out Mirror and Average Girl. Superchick probably has a few too - One Girl Revolution would be great!
For poems -- Maya Angelou!! I'm sure she has a few that would fit in well with this, but I love Phenomenal Woman.
