The online implementation for Brawl is not very good. I would give it some time to see if they can expand its functionality and decrease the latency problems.

Then I don't mind not waiting in line for it. While I would like to play and get good at the latest version I won't be good enough until I can test myself against the old guard. I'd just be good enough for the noobs.
