Ev'rybody's green, 'cause I'm the one who won your love,
But if they'd seen you talking that way they'd laugh in my face.

"You know how jealous all the girls are, eh?" Alex finished tying his 'double figure eight knot'. Andrew took it out of his hand to examine it.
"You did this wrong. Jealous about what?"
"Because I have you." Alex smiled.
"Bullshit," Andrew breathed, and finished the next knot. "This gym class is a joke."
"It's not bullshit." Alex ignored the last bit, and grabbed the knot out of Andrew's hand.
"It's not like I don't want you, Alex, but I just have to get used to it." Andrew kicked at air. "After things with Katie..."
"You're kidding. We went through this." Alex dropped the rope. "People are going to think I'm a..."
"Would you shut the fuck up, and pick up the rope? We need to figure this shit out so we can climb." Andrew grabbed the rope from Alex's hands. "People aren't going to think anything other than that we love each other, so quit it."

Alex sighed, but smiled. Andrew was something he couldn't wait to get. He really wanted a new phone, had ambitions to get into a good college, but right now, Andrew was the top of the line. Grade A dick. Alex could already tell how amazing Sophmore year was going to turn out to be.

Andrew wasn't usually into this. The last person he dated was a girl. Named Katie, with a GPA of 3.7, tits and a size 7 foot. Her GPA lasted for the whole school year, and so did they. When they broke up, it was unexpected. Katie said she "just didn't feel it" between them anymore. He took it like a man though. Men don't cry. Andrew wanted to cry. But he didn't.

"I'm sorry, can I say this? You know what makes me nuts?"
Andrew didn't want to hear it. Alex was the girl in the relationship, for sure.
"What."
"It's all about you, and you. Nothing but you." Alex grabbed the rope from him, and redid the knot. "Mr. Eakin is coming, dress that knot."
Andrew did so.
He hated when Alex did this. People always laughed about their relationship when he pulled this shit, because everyone in the fucking world heard it.
"Right Alex, nothing but me." He didn't even feel like dealing with this.
"You act like I'm a piece of homework you have to get done,"

Andrew, like we said, wasn't usually into this. When he and Katie broke up, Alex was there. He didn't jump the gun too quick, and he was there as a friend. Genuinely. And then, once the comfortee was comforted, he moved in for the kill. Alex roped him like a fucking fish, and that was it. He was hooked, and he didn't want a girl.

Alex was really surprised at himself, since everything went so well. He expected it to be harder. Because, well, Andrew wasn't gay, and he knew it.

"You know what?" Andrew asked.
"What."
And he kissed him. A small peck, but long enough to be good for the both of them, and short enough for not too many people to see.
"Hey, Mr. Eakin, can you come check our knot?"
