Welcome to Two Of Us Fic, the Beatles' lyrics fic challenge!
Hi everyone, and welcome to the Two of Us Fic Challenge! This challenge was inspired by Two Lines, and atomic_fiction. Like these challenges, it will consist of each participant being issued lyrics upon which to base a story. In this case, of course, your inspiration will be Beatles lyrics!
The Rules:
Sign-ups will take place between March 31st and April 14th. You will then receive two lines of Beatles lyrics by April 18th, to be used as inspiration for your fic. Your story should be posted to this community between June 14th and 18th (Paul's birthday!).
Your story should not be a songfic - it should be based solely upon the set of lyrics given to you, although you are of course welcome to listen to the rest of the song. Heck, you can listen to the entire Beatles catalogue if you'd like - but your specific two lines should be the real basis for your fic.
Your story should be at least 500 words long (there is no upper limit on word count).
If you find that your assigned lyrics just aren't working out for you, you may exchange them (once) by April 30th for a second set. Please let me know as soon as possible if you will not be able to finish your fic by the due date.
All fandoms and pairings are welcome - the more the merrier! Het, slash, RP, FP - whatever you please - we'll take it!

2) Comment to the sign-up entry, giving the (valid) email address where you would like to receive your challenge lyrics. You're welcome to include the fandom and/or pairing you plan to write, but it's not required.
3) Check your email on April 18th to receive your challenge lyrics!
4) Write your fic, and have it beta'd (a beta is optional, but highly recommended). See note above regarding alternate lyrics, if needed.
5) Post your fic here in this community (http://www.livejournal.com/community/two_of_us_fic) between June 14th and 18th!
When posting, please use standard headers and an LJ-cut.

Rating: There are several sets of ratings floating around, including standard film and video game ratings. You're welcome to use whichever set you prefer, but please be clear as to whether or not your story is explicit.
Fandom/Pairing(s):
Warnings: You're welcome to warn for anything you feel necessary, but please be especially sure to include a warning if your story involves character death, non-consensual sex, incest, underage sex, or BDSM.
Disclaimer: Please include this, unless your story is original fic (non-fandom).
A/N or Summary: Be as descriptive or as vague as you please, but a well-phrased Author's Note can be a great enticement to readers. Also, this is a good place to thank your beta.
