Oh, I am fucked. I signed up for a one credit class on writing and recording audio stories that will take up most of next weekend. Honestly, it's all about the spin.

Take something you've experienced, one way or another. Write it up as if it were a fictional piece, and you were not personally involved (though you may or may not want to do it in first person).

The thing about the teaching program and the Asperger's might be really good, in fact. I think it is probably not necessary for everything to have a shinyHappy ending.

I'm wishing you all the best.

If you actually want to crusade for social justice, I'd suggest you do the piece about being pushed out of the teaching program. I experienced some similar things when I was in a teaching program, and I suspect that PWD, particularly people on the autism spectrum and people with other disabilities involving either comprehending or processing differently than the norm do get pushed out of teaching programs in exactly the opposite of how beginning teachers are told to treat their students. I'd love to see the people who run those programs spend more time thinking about that and what it says about how they actually feel about the roles of PWD in our society ( ... )

I think I'm going to tell the story about singing the Ode to Joy without pants. (It's social-justicey because it's about taking art from the rich at the Schnitz and giving it to the upper middle class in the Pearl.)
