Crazy Weekend!
OMG Friday night was so fun...
1) It was my daddy's birthday, but my mom wasn't home because she was at class. I made fried green tomatoes for him, and they were so good that I'm going to make them again tonight. My mom also made homemade garlicky mashed potatoes and heated up some killer roast chicken.
2) pirates_damsel and I went to see Corpse Bride with Mollie, Jake, Kelsey, Jennifer, and a blonde girl I do not know. The movie was awesome. It was better than Nightmare. See it or die.
3) We all went to Safeway. We walked around and looked at Halloween stuff, and I bought a Propel and some gum.
4) Went back to my car. We had to take Blonde Girl home. My car seats five. There were seven of us. Jennifer volunteered to go inthe truck, and Kelsey sat on Mollie's lap until her legs went numb. Drove all the way out to Talmage, dropped off Blonde Girl, and let Jennifer out of the trunk. Drove all the way back to Mollie's house.
5) Sat around in Mollie's room for a while.
6) Walked to the golf course, and wandered around on the hills and in the sandtraps, and Jake tried to throw the flags like javelins.
7) Walked to Todd Grove Park. We were going to swing, but there was another group of kids on the swings already. We sat around on the big jungle gym and froze, while Jake yelled at the other kids because he though he knew one of them. Mollie and I had to pee, and we were starting to get icy.
8) Walked back to Mollie's house, sat around for a much longer time. Around 11:30 our mother called and pretty much told us to get our asses back home. We dropped Jake and Kelsey off on the way.
9) I was alseep by midnight, which was exactly when I had planned to go to sleep anyway.
OMG Saturday was so long...
1) Woke up at like 6:15, and lay in bed until almost 7.
2) Went to the SATs with pirates_damsel. I took the Subject Tests, and was done in two hours. Sistergirl took way way longer, like 4.5 hours. I went home after mine, but the house smelled like vats of cabbage (thanks mom) and no one was home, so I just went back to the SAT place and sat in the parking lot and listened to the Panic! At The Disco album at least three times.
3) Then we went home and got all our stuff for hip-hop. I was looking at 18th century dresses, and forgot to eat lunch.
4) Went to Cloverdale for hip-hop class.
5) Went to the Oktoberfest church fundraiser, and painted faces and ate burnt hot dogs.
6) Left around 7:10, and took the long way home by going on East Side Road. Listened to the mix Jake made for Sarah, because it's very nice.
7) Got home around 8, and I fell alseep on the couch while my mom watched old episodes of CSIs Miami and NY that were on the TiVo. I don't remember getting in my own bed, or changing into pajamas.
OMG Today is so Sunday...
1) Woke up earlyish and took a needed shower.
2) On the way to church, I drew that 'bridging the gap' drawing that I promised Pastor Lynda I'd do Wednesday.
3) Had three little girls in the nursery. More than in a while, and they were kind of crazy today.
4) I missed Dominic and Bert's exchanging-of-vows ceremony, and I forgot to try the cake. I had a plate of leftover struedel, but I just now realized I forgot to bring it home.
5) We sang mostly Godspell songs at choir. Talk about memory lane!
I made some nice textly icons, and realized that I have some considerable talent for it! If I can get into the swing of making more, I'll open an icon journal! I've always wanted to be good at icons, and this might be the way for me to do it. OMGYAY.
I was gonna write more, but that's enough typing. I'll do it later.
