My paid LJ is expireing soon. I've got to remember to ask mom if I can set up auto payments on the credit card. It's really cheaper to get that $20 deal thing.
Went shopping after school, with
pirates_damsel and Ryan. Wore my new blue rainboots. And a sparkly blue headband.
We went to Las Manos first, because they're going out of business. I think it's becouse our store isn't nearly as nice as the one in Santa Rosa. I wonder how the one in Hopland is? Well, everything was half off. I got two packs of bindis, a glittery silver moon ornament, and a hair pin with a sparkly flower the color of my headband for $3.50! (I was going cheap today because all my money has gone away fast this month. I'm officially out.)
Then we went to The Dragon's Lair, which is just so NICE. They have everything hippie you could possibly want. It's like, high class alternative merchandise. I was looking at some gorgey mermaid statues, and we smelled all the candles and read horoscopes on cards. I wanted to buy one of those ceramic burners where you put the tea light in the bottom compartment, and a wax tart on the top dish, and the wax melts thoroughly and smells up the whole room all lovely, but they didn't have any in colors that would match my room. I'm sure they will at some point, so no worries.
Then we went to WalMart, where Damsy got herself a black hoodie. She languished for ages in the men's section where everything was huge on her, until I decided she should try on a boy's extra large. It fit perfectly! And I bought a girl's size 14 black satin pleated skirt with a little bow. I was going to buy a size 16 blue one, or maybe green, but I couldn't decide which of those colors was the least "lYkE OMGz!!!!1!one!" and I was mos-def not getting pink. Then Ryan found the black ones, only the largest size they had is girl's 14. I tried it on, and it looks really cute but the top is almost at my belly button. So I bought it, and decided that I'll go back next week and look for a larger size to exchange it for. Hey, it was only 7 dollars!
Then Ryan decided to buy Damsy a Green Day poster, and also that he needed Valentine's Day chocolates (to eat now, of course), so next we went to the Valentine's section. Damsy and Ryan got heart shaped boxes of chocolate, but I don't really like those unless I know what's in them because I'm not big on nuts, or coconut. Then Ryan bought me a bag of Ghiridelli squares filled with caramel, and chocolate, and mint (but not all in the same pieces, in individual squares, of course!) and It was only $6. That's a deal, because it's full of those individually wrapped squares, and those are almost a buck each at the craft store, which is pretty much the only place I see them up here.
Damsy played the stuffed animal claw machine and won again. It's way cuter this time. It's a yellow bear with a strawberry on its head or something. I got another little girl bracelet to match the one I was already wearing. And then we found Caleb outside in the rain, about to call someone to find a ride. He was wearing his orange hoodie and his "pumpkin pi" shirt and a wool hat with earflaps that I swear I saw racks of at The Dragon's Lair. He sounded sick (because he was) and kind of stoned (it was the cold medication). We gave the poor guy a lift to Mollie's because, well, we love him.
Now I'm home, and ready for a spaghetti dinner (actually, we already ate that) and watching Close to Home and NUMB3RS, and then getting a really good night's sleep. My bed got a lot more comfortable in the past week and a half.
