I've got doll lust

I can't remember the last time I actually played with a doll, but for some reason I'm attracted to them. Not those scary porcelain ones that people collect in the foofy satin dresses. And I don't want an exorbitant amount of dolls filling my room. It's just that every now and then I see a doll and I'm like, "Ooooooooh, I want to dress her up!"

H-hey I have some of those creepy porcelain dolls ): but they were gifts when I was like 4 from my granddad. They're both lovely looking things though. I think the Blythe Dolls are pretty cute, but if you want freaky go look at a Super Dollfie. They're like 2ft tall! And have a price tag to match, but they're very customizable and some people dress them up so nicely.

Dude, 2 or 3 of those dolls is okay. That's not Clean House status. Some of those people have like 100 of them! I'm always glad when Niecy and crew take all but a few away from them.

Geeze, you're right about the Super Dollfies. They're almost kind of realistic looking, for a doll. I don't get what it is that make realistic looking dolls so scary and fascinating at the same time.

My grandma and aunt gave Sister and I these porcelain baby dolls when we were little, dressed in white lacy baptism gowns. I haven't look at them in years (they've been locked up in my mother's cedar chest since their

I think if you're a collector then it's fine but if you display them in your bedroom then I'll think you're a freak. I'd love to have a Super Dollfie or two, unfortunately I don't have £700 lying around but I guess it would be something to work towards. I don't know how much the clothing goes for but some of the clothing they have is so beautiful ( ... )

... since their arrival, and we might've even gotten rid of them already), but I think they were fairly realistic. I just remember being very creeped out by them, to the point of tears. Really scary little things.

I don't particularly like things you can't play with either. That's one of the reasons I want dolls like these; to dress up and brush their hair, or paper dolls to change the outfits on. The kind of doll I could take with me somewhere if I wanted.

It's funny because I'm not like, a doll person, or a stuff animal person, or anything like that. I just don't have many dolls and I think I'd like a couple to occasionally play with and make things for.
I guess it's cause when I was little I was really into tiny things and miniatures and things like that, but I never had a proper doll house.
