What's the matter? I won't pretend to be the master of sage advice and may not have any answers, but I'll at least listen.

Well I am job hunting, and a friend I would get inspiration from is too busy to say hi let alone bounce job ideas off of.I really don't want to do anything in my skill level(retail), but going to school doesn't look like an option either.The biggest problem is that I have not worked in three years, and that place went out of business, leaving me with no real references.

i got laid off from work in the tech industry two years ago and haven't found steady work yet. the economy sucks, looking for work sucks, etc. i hope you are able to sort things out; it's a rough time.
