sorting through books

Lately I have been sorting through my books, and actually deciding to... *gasp* ..get rid of some. Quite a few, actually. More often I measure them by "would I recommend them to my friends?" and "is it time well spent, to read this

One of my favorite children's books is " Corderoy ". Have you seen that one? It is about a bear that is for sale in a big store and eventually a girl comes along and buys him. It is really cute. = )
I have been sorting through my books, too trying to figure out - even if it is a ' good ' book, is it worthwhile to spend my time on? BTW, great idea to collect children's books!

Happy to have a livejournal! :P It's okay that you didn't reply before... you are much busier than me! :)

"Corderoy" is a favorite of mine too... another favorite is "Make Way for Ducklings".

I have ended up with more than a boxful of books to get rid of... the decision now whether to give them away or perhaps find a way to sell at least a few of them. I bought some of them simply because I wanted to read them (and couldn't find them at the library), so it would be nice to get a little of that money back.. (I could use some for more children's books :P ) I have seen others listing books for sale on LJ.. maybe I will do the same. Guess I'd need a slightly longer list of friends, though, to actually sell any! :)

There's a book called "My Baby Brother Needs Me" that I really like. And I like "If Everybody Did", and "Pocket Change" from BJU Press.
