Last week I had my last ever lecture. I was tired from playing tennis the night before, still a bit annoyed from the low quality that I played, so I slept for a big portion of it. This week's been fun and busy. I love this time of year, so much tennis on tv, and more importantly, I get to go see the pros play. Happy New Year! 2006 is a week old now, and so far so good. This year has been short so far, and it started off with a record. Sydney got its hottest ever New Year's Day ever, and its second hottest ever day since temperatures were recorded. The day was 44C (111F), even until 6pm. Today we decided to head on out early for a drive down south. There was a new road opened in Sydney, the M7, it's toll-free for a month so we went and tried that out, and also another new piece of road around town, the Sea Cliff Bridge. That replaced a piece of coastal road that was damaged beyond repair by heavy waves a few years ago ( Read more... )

Less than a week after my last exam of the semester, summer school started. There are six full days altogether, with Christmas break in between. Each of those days will begin at 10am, until 5pm, we will be covering material that is normally covered in four weeks in one.
