Wow, you really achieved quite a bit with this family! Just out of curiosity, how many days are you playing at a time? Pauline is so cute! She really grew up well, and it's sweet to see how close she is with her grandpa. Can't wait to see the new baby!
This looks like a fun way of playing! It was fun to read, anyway. :) I try to fulfill my sims' wants, but not as consistently as this.
Luis sure is scoldy, isn't he? I think he was the most entertaining in this update. How did you get Noriko to die again so quickly? Well, Grim DID put his scythe right through her head in that shot, I guess that's pretty deadly...
Thank you. :) I was really inspired by (stole the idea from, LOL) ASimWen who blogs Wishful Thinking In Pleasantview. I have a link to it from my journal. I've never played this way before, and it's a lot of fun so far.
I spawned Rodney's Death Creator and chose to have her die of old age. I wanted to make it really quick so they wouldn't roll up wants related to her. After that, I thought Luis might roll a want to resurrect her (again), but he didn't.
Y'know, I never felt the urge to play with the pre-made families in Desiderata. Now you've inspired me to give them a chance! I really like this update about the Aspirs. Pauline and her grandfather are so cute, together! It seems appropriate that Luis should want to spend his retirement chatting with friends and looking after his granddaughter
( ... )
Thanks whisper-doll! :) I haven't been much of a fan of the premade families either. I played with Desiderata Valley when Freetime first came out to test the new expansion - at least for a little while. I lost interest, though. This is fun - seeing what they choose.
I like your explanation for Elizabeth's braids - very creative. It makes a lot of sense since she wants to be spy.
Trevor is a cutie. I toyed with the idea of putting him back up for adoption with the teleporter and pretending his adoption never happened. ;) But I felt guilty and couldn't do it. I'm glad I didn't.
I already try to fulfill my sims wants quite a bit, but some wants I really avoid, like parties for example. I also usually try to steer them the way I want a lot more. I tried to observe more this time and stay hands off. I tried to only have them do the things they wanted, except the basic needs stuff. It was a little hard not to be more controlling, but also interesting.
Nice update to this. I've never played Desiderata Valley, but this family was nice. I like what you did with the house. I tend to be very controlling over Breeze Point, and have tried to relax with Fellowship One more...maybe I'll play a pre-made hood at some point and follow wishes to relax my control even more....I'm getting better, but not great yet. :D
