Not bad, just don't overdo it. Like, end up in the hospital or throwing up all over the place overdo it. But it's good to have fun...but in my opinion when you are feeling it in your stomach (like a shitty stomach feeling), stop, because otherwise you'll want to throw up...and that sucks ass. And if you are feeling shitty, drink water and eat something...it helps to have something else in your stomach. Even when your drinking, eating helps. Takes the effect away more. My idea is it's ok...I used to enjoy a lot of drinking but now all I like is a few cocktails or a beer...getting completely wasted isn't really fun to me anymore. Trying it isn't a bad thing, but when you do you'll find out whether you like it or not. My thoughts: It can be relaxing to go have a couple of drinks with friends. Beer or wine can be a tasty addition to a good meal. Drinking is not inherently bad. Getting drunk often has consequences (like barf or doing/saying things that the sober person knows better than to do). Know your limits, don't put yourself at risk for any kind of harm, and just be smart about drinking.
I think it's fine as long as you don't go overboard to the point where your body is telling you no (i don't see how getting really trashed and throwing up is fun). As long as you know that you don't need it to have fun and that it's not the center of your world then i don't have much of a problem with it.
Be true to yourself. the choice to drink or not to drink should not be made to fit in with anyone. drink if you'd like, but doing anything just to fit in makes you a sad little person. ps. don't expect the people who don't drink to take care of you while you are hugging the toilet.
