First off... So some drivers are complaining that Danica Patrick, the woman who is racing in the Indy and qualified in 4th spot, is 100 pounds lighter than them and thus has an unfair advantage. I agree, it is an unfair advantage, but I want to know - did they complain when the other women drivers were in the race in past years? Did they choose * ( Read more... )

I agree with you.. this stuff, none of it makes sense. Maybe start by emailing the student goverment, i know they determine how much money is split up between our organizations and such. good luck, and hopefully you can get them to do something a bit more fair. love ya, jess

I feel like things are different at home this summer and people are changing - maybe that's bothering me.

Who? The only person I've noticed change in has been you. But you said you've been feeling cynical so maybe that's all I noticed.

As for things feeling different at home this summer, I agree. I wish it didn't feel that way and I don't see why it should.

Anyway, we should hang out sometime and maybe talk. I miss getting to talk with you like that.
Love you.

Olaf lies about a lot. The music department is their biggest lie, hence why I quit music. They say it's very open and supportive and a great way to develop. The students are VERY VERY supportive...the students are good. The professors are assholes who push you around and bullshit you the entire time. So the music department at Olaf is one big lie. And I think they do have to pay for plane tickets when they do fly. Buses they don't though. The music department I guess has a lot of money running through it. Even though, as good as it is, it still doesn't compete with major music schools in the states like they say they do (schools like Julliard, Cleveland, Curtis, etc). So it's weird...and one large lie. Bullshit...I hate it also.

the oxymoron of your cynisism. goorocker23 May 30 2005, 02:27:29 UTC
Cynisism can be good as long as it's held within reason and not taken to an extreme. Without some interventions of the cynical no one would ever try to better anything and we would live in a stagnant cold world. (or maybe my cynisism is just coming out too haha). It's people that take it to an extreme that bring their own kind of stagnant atmosphere which would contradict what i just said. And I could never see you going anywhere near that line.
P.S.-i want to know who you think is changing too heh.

love

I feel your pain. At my school, the athletic department gets to keep all the money for the Band and Music camps. Figure that out. It's totally backwards.
