well i'm sure God is a lot more things than love, but love is probably the most intense emotions humans can have that relate so directly to God.

whoever wrote this values rationality and thinking and wisdom and asking in-depth questions a lot more than they like being loved, and frankly i don't relate to that person at all.

how does this value rationality more than being loved?

i agree, love can connect people to God in amazing ways.

I agree with this, to a certain extent. People won't condemn anything that is defended in the name of love, but sometimes love itself can carry us away, being such a powerful feeling, and it needs to be tempered.

God DOES love us unconditionally, and DOES require us to love our neighbors. But sometimes loving someone means drawing the line, and not letting us narrow-mind human beings dilute the true message because we get distracted by a single part of it.

Did that make any sense? You said it better. ;)

what is the 'certain extent' that you limit your agreement by, just curious...

Yes, God loves us unconditionally. His love for us is unselfish, giving, and sacrificial, but that doesn't mean he accepts everything we do or that we "can do no wrong". Because of how much He loves us He has set boundaries to keep us safe. I think when "love" becomes the most important thing, people feel in order to love someone they must accept everything they do. But, if your friend were going to jump off a bridge and kill herself would you sit back and watch for fear of being labeled judgmental or intolerant of her choice. Of course, you wouldn't try to grab her and pull her back because she may pull away and fall over the edge, but instead lovingly try to coax her back. As Christians we are called to love others. Part of that love is to "coax" them lovingly away from sin that would separate them from God and cause their spiritual death. When we accept Jesus we are called to new life, a more Christ-like life. 1 John 1:5-6, 1 John 2:15-17, 1 Corinthians.
