The inaugural "Weirdness" night at the Biltmore was a little disappointing. I was expecting italo-disco and Captain Beefheart, but it was more like Thin Lizzy and familiar 80's hits. Not bad, but not what I was looking forward to. I may have had the wrong expectations. I would really like to see a chill, psych-nite style event with a cool selection ( Read more... )

Ahem, it actually isn't really Zoe's show, although she's had a hand in helping to make it (as have Jill, Miguel, and Marek, to date). However, Zoe is and will always be both my main lady and my muse for pinata-making.

That's sort of unfortunate about Weirdness. I'm not that huge on italo-disco, but I figured there'd be quite a bit of stuff that I am into between the Moroder tunes.

I was trying to convince Neil that we should do a non-dance dance night... stuff that is totally unmixable and not really intended for discotheques, but that people might get down to anyway.
