I'm doing both. I know I can do the movies no problem but I'm so lazy when it comes to reading now. I used to read about 3 books a week and now I read one every like 4 months. So yeah.

50 BOOKS IN 2007
Again only books I've read for the first time. I'm grading them based on how much I ejoyed them and not their actual literary prowess or whatever. Because I know most of what I read is lame. I'll try to write quick summaries too. yay.
1. The Silver Chair by C.S. Lewis [B]
-I think everyone's aware what the Chronicles of Narnia are about.
2. Feast Of The Drowned by Stephen Cole [A+] (do audio books count? This was awesome just because I got to fall asleep listening to David Tennant talking. He did every voice different it was hilarious. And he did the narrating in his actual accent which is pure sex. And apparently this list has become why David Tennant is so awesome. I'm done now.)
-I haven't really got a clue what this was about though. Too busy daydreaming about DT. Something about waterlogged zombies.
3. The Magician's Nephew by C.S. Lewis [C]
-Chronicles Of Narnia. You know them.
4. The Last Battle by C.S. Lewis [B]
-See above.
5. Wicked by Gregory Maguire [A+]
-The life and times of the Wicked Witch who seriously rocks hardcore. It's from her point of view about what went down with Dorothy but most of the story is about her life before stupid Dorothy came to Oz. It's REALLY interesting srsly.
6. Tithe by Holly Black [C+]
-A girl finds out she's a nymph or something (all I know is she's green when her glamour fades) after kind of falling in love with this hot elf dude who is supposed to be an enemy possibly (And also at one point he's kind of abusive and slams her ass onto a diner table in public. It's pretty hot.) Or something. There are these two faerie courts who are enemies and there's also some kid made into a gay love slave for an evil elf/nymph/thingy. It's awesome. Reminds me of Twilight actually (except better b/c it's so cracktastic) AND IT CAME FIRST.
7. Twilight by Stephanie Meyer [D+]
-ZOMG LAME. Edward Cullen is really hot even if he's just a book character. That's the only good thing about this book. The hotness of Edward Cullen. Oh summary right. Okay this girl falls in love with this mysterious boy who is obviously a vampire from like the second he is introduced. It takes her awhile to figure it out but according to this book she's supposed to be smart. (I disagree) Anyways her name is Bella and she is a complete Mary-Sue. And she's a boring one at that. Edward has to try and not eat her because he falls in love with her because she is "exactly his brand of heroin" LULZ. Corniest line ever. I still don't get why he likes this chick. SHE'S BORING. She eats granola bars for breakfast! I had to point that out because yes the book actually goes into detail about how she eats a granola bar for breakfast.
8. Life Is Funny by E.R. Frank [A]
-Stories about various teenagers in Brooklyn. The stories are kind of connected. It's hard to explain. All I know is these people's lives were fucked up and it was really interesting.
9. New Moon by Stephanie Meyer [D]
I don't know why I do this to myself. Just as lame as the last one. One redeeming quality is Jacob who I kinda liked. But god. Bella is even more annoying in this one. She's all EDWARD'S GONE, I'M THROWING MYSELF OFF A CLIFF. Literally. Anyway I don't know why she prefers Edward to Jacob. She actually has fun around Jacob and laughs and he's sweet and stuff. And she doesn't have to worry about Jacob resisting the urge to eat her because in this apparently werewolves are good unless they can't control it or something. ACTUALLY both Edward and Jacob are too good for her so I think they should just throw Bella off that cliff again and make out or something. :)
10. Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows by J. K. Rowling [A]
I'm sure you know what it's about. And I loved it!
See my first reaction post here.
11. The Brief History of the Dead by Kevin Brockmeier [A+]
REALLY interesting story. It's about a woman Laura who is in Antartica chilling and stuff and is totally like the last person on Earth I think because everyone's being wiped out by a virus. And then the other part of the story is about 'The City' which is where everyone goes when they die. See to remain in the city there has to be someone on Earth to remember you so it's basically every single person Laura remembers is in the city. And there's all these different stories connecting Laura to the City people. It's just really awesome. Highly recommended.
12. Eclipse by Stephanie Meyer [D-]
WHY DO I KEEP DOING THIS TO MYSELF?! I know it's going to be bad but I read anyway. I think just because I want to keep up with what everyone is talking about. Also I heard there were sort of slashy Jacob/Edward scenes and I want them to bang so I figured I should read. and I was kind of hoping they'd bite Bella to become a vampire and she'd die. Heehee. But damn, now there's going to be another one?! I'll read it if it's in Jacob's POV. I'm tired of Bella's constant whining and just generally horrible personality.
13. Stardust by Neil Gaiman [A-]
About a boy who promises this girl he'll catch her a fallen star so he sets out after one they saw fall and it turns out the star is a girl and other people want to catch the star as well for their own purposes so he has to try and protect her all while making her come back with him to present to his love. You can probably figure out what happens. :) Just a very nice fairytale.
14. Endgame by Nancy Gardner [C+]
This is about a kid who is teased and bullied and has generally crappy life so he ends up bringing a gun to school and killing four people. The story is told by him in an interview with his lawyer at a Juvenile Detention Center after this all happened. It was okay.
15. This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen [B+]
This was just really cute and schmoopy but in a good way.
16. Looking For Alaska by John Green [C-]
Urmm this nerdy guy goes to a school where he makes actual friends and falls in love with a girl named Alaska who eventually ends up dying/possibly committing suicide. It was kind of boring because nothing really ever happens.
17. Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen [B]
Can you believe I've never read this before? I've been on a Jane Austen kick lately so I downloaded the 1995 miniseries (which I never saw) and then read the book as well. Anyway you know what it's about. I like the movie better... (don't kill me!)
