I remember seeing a pic of him in that movie. OMG! I wish I had seen your comment on TWOP in time to tape it. Is there any way you can make copies? I'd give ALOT to see it!
Poor Jesse, he always looks so young. Hee. In Winning London he was 21 when he filmed it and he looked about 14/15. And don't even get me started with Neighbors. When he was 20 he looked this little kid. Heeee
Meant to add. Jesse always seems to do Daddy issue roles. Stranded. Swimming Upstream. Winning London. Death in Holy Orders, although that Daddy issue was a bit different. Heeee
I watched it last night--and I'm happy to say it wasn't a very horrifying horror movie because I'm a great big wimp. The gargoyles weren't frightening at all.
I tried to check the credits to see when it was filmed and couldn't tell. I thought he *was* about 15 in the movie. LOL That deep voice coming from that little kid always cracks me up when I see old clips of Neighbors on YouTube. I was like "Is this supposed to be in America?" His friend didn't do a very good American accent and I thought Jesse's was an attempt at Irish when he first opened his mouth.
I also had the experience of stopping the tape and there was House on TV, Jesse was speaking. It was a time warp, for sure. He could pass for 21 now.
I agree with the typecasting trend too. His characters always have Daddy Issues; he tends to play characters who are brainy and adorkable.
I'm a wimp too, so I'm glad it's a rather cheesy movie. And the first time I saw a Neighbors clip, I think Jesse was actually 16 at the time, but he looked about 12 and that DEEP voice came out of him and I almost fell over. heeee.
In Cursed, when he went to the House and the cops come, honest to god he looked barely 16. And in every ep of House he never looks older than about 22, and there's always a scene where he could pass for 18 easy. Heeee.
Well, he was the one who came up with the way to make lots of holy water, even though the priest didn't think about it, so he had to know something about Catholicism, so it still fits!
You know, aside from the whole gargoyle thing and his mother not being a drunk, that character was sort of the way I imagine Chase might have been as a teenager.
