I took my dad car shopping with me for the same reason! My salesman at Ford was really cool, though. I was considering the G6 as well, and I have a friend who likes his a lot. Saturns are also nice. I looked at the Aura, which was awesome (a little too awesome for my budget), and not the Vue, so I don't really know about that one.

Yeah I was so glad my dad was there. Although, I have no trouble telling a salesman that I don't like his attitude. I figure if they're going to play games with me, I'm not afraid to go somewhere else. Especially since they're so desperate for sales these days.

I love the Aura...but I agree that its a little out of my range!

havent heard anything about the G6, but i have a bonneville, which no longer is made, but the G6 i probably the closest thing to it, and its been good to me so far. plus, you can't really go wrong with the ole 5 yr 100K warranty (yeah so what if i do advertising for GM?)

Yeah, I used to have a grand am and I looooved it. So I'm pretty sure I'll be good with a G6.

We were looking at cars in the summer, as our Corolla died. We drove a G6 as a rental for a week. We weren't seriously considering it when we first got it..we were seriously considering it when we had to return it to the rental company after that week was up ( ... )

Yeah, after driving the G6 I was in love.

Its nice working in the auto industry (or near it) because you definitely see how desperate the automakers are for your business. I'm pretty sure I'll be able to get a fair price, and then I recieve employee pricing on top of that. Its actually a great time to buy, which works out really well!

Thanks for the info!

I was surfing the net at work and decided to check out your livejournal today....which is super random because guess who just a new car at lunch !?!?! Yeah it's me :)

I got a Jeep Liberty (I'm doing advertising for Jeep so its not really a surprise) lol. I found an awesome dealer through someone at work and was happy because those salesmen make me uncomfortable.

Anyway, my vote is for a G6. My friend Lisa is leasing her 2nd one and her brother just bought one and they both love them and I love riding in them!

Good luck! Hopefully one of these days you, me and David can get together for a drink and catch up. Have a merry christmas!!!
