Omg??! Thank you a million times for this this was so much fun! It is genuinely so swoon-worthy and the BTS will help with the sale Shoppi is not wrong lmao. Typing it here since this will be an ESSAY
1. Shoppi does look so nervous on the first day bless him. It's so strange to see him all jittery and I'm so charmed by this!
2. That said, he's Shoppi so he's still a little mercurial and hilarious. The cake answer!? Overthinking the kiss (on the first episode!? I feel him), bragging about the workout! Complaining about the cat ears! Making that wish?!! (Bonus: Anne going are you sure you don't wanna write another one is priceless,) Never change beloved
3. The kissing scene took 6 hours to film!?
4. Anne is SO CUTE! She's hilarious and warm and obviously is going out of her way to make Shoppi feel more comfortable. Obsessed with her <3
5. The finished product looks amazing! I haven't read this manga and I was kicking my feet in the air gigging! Their chemistry is outstanding on-screen!
ahh thank you for your comment! pls indulge me as i write an essay back in return... ^^;
i've never worked in TV, but the ex-theatre-kid in me especially loves BTS stuff because there's still a certain overlap with what we used to have to do. (they had the BTS companion series for Hikaru too when he did the bodyguard drama for this channel/timeslot, btw!) it's amazing that they share so much of the nitty-gritty details of the process <3
1. we tend to think that TV is done by professionals but i always think about how a lot of Japanese idols/actors are literally teens scouted off the street with no formal acting training. no training in acting theory, character physicality, how to mentally prepare yourself, how to get in character, no warm up exercises. (even if Starto talents generally have some acting experience thanks to their Junior careers, that's still no substitute for formal lessons...)
so i honestly can't blame Shota for being nervous, and if anything, it feels like a privilege to get a rare glimpse of the very raw and real
