I have decided to cut a bunch of people off my friends list. If you never comment on my posts or otherwise interact directly with me, I have removed you or will probably do so soon

To be fair, I don't really come to livejournal much (first time in months) because most of my friends no longer post and I don't actively "follow" any of my groups anymore. Therefore, there are usually very few updates. I only keep my lj in case I have the urge to start it up again. If I do, I'll most likely reapply to be your friend again. When I'm here, I comment.
I'm even bad about facebook nowadays. I suppose I'm fairly over the internet. Heh.
i'm glad there's not a "like" button. i don't use LJ the way i use facebook. i've made real long-term friendships through LJ, but never through facebook, for instance. because people actually post about messages that aren't 140 characters long and talk about what's going on in their lives.
I've been scarce on livejournal lately and trying to figure out if there's a way to shift some of my focus away form Fb and back here. because facebook is by necessity totally shallow. And so if I only post to FB and not here, i am much more shallow, and that's not how I want to be.
I once posted a gripe about a person i was doing some political work with...not by name and not with a ton of specificity, but it wasn't anyone who is on LJ...and then they asked me if what I'd posted on my blog was about them. i was kind of amazed and not particularly pleased.
lurkers are odd. I like knowing how it is that people came to friend me here, if it's from a community, a mutual friend, or what. If there's no context at all, then no thank you.
oh! and I haven't been commenting much but when I come around I always read your posts and am really pulling for your nursery to soon be bustling!
oh, friend, don't worry, i know. thanks for your support. i think those of us who've been on LJ a long time tend to have a certain role we think of LJ as playing, that it doesn't for some of the newcomers or people who've chosen to change how they use it. and it's all good... i just want to feel like i'm sharing my thoughts with people who actually care
I'm not too active on the ole LJ these days. I barely post anymore, and I'm not a very active commenter, either. I don't know what happened to my LJ motivation! :) But it's always nice to interact with you when the stars align and whatnot. Hehe. XO
