I was having a think this morning...

...and I remembered how, at least in the early nineties (okay, maybe late eighties), it was said that you were making an appropriate income if you were earning your age. In thousands, that is... Is "dead" an option?

Hmmm... I had to think about this one a bit. I'd probably opt for age 30. Not much of an income, but still young and resilient enough to work around it. Maybe.

Was that equation for "earning your age" even accurate in the 90s? I first heard it as a line in a movie from the 70s. And I've been on both sides of that equation, like most of us.

Lolz.

I am earning my age for the first time in my life. I know I don't make enough, but I squeak by thanks to the apartment falling into my lap...

As to the question, if it's just physical, I'll go for circa 35. I don't really want to be stuck in my pre-analysis personality, for want of a better way of formulating it, but I could really go for the size 8 and the more youthful aspect.

(Also playing into this is the experience of seeing the HDGF seeing pics of old friends on Facebook. Everyone seems to have fallen off a cliff around 40. Except you, my dear sloth, the ever lithe.)

Yeah, I think I also would go for latish 30s, and a couple of roommates.

Was anyone ever admonished to "act your income?"
