After 16.5 years and 11625 posts, I'm closing shop on Livejournal. I've been on Livejournal since May 2000 (and of course there's the Whiskas account for my long-departed hamster and my current three cats, plus various communities created and occasionally maintained by me) but I'm uncomfortable with what's going on with the LJ servers being in

I'm not going to delete mine because I've been here almost since the site started (like just a few months off) and, also, I've already deleted all my election stuff weeks ago because, nope, turns out I'm not paranoid. *ahem* (Though I'm not patting myself on the back for that because there have been countless other people with actual experience in how authoritative regimes work/get started shouting from the rooftops about such things for two months now. I'm just a parrot for smarter people.)

But, yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. No more https? Nope. Getting the fuck out. I dug up my Dreamwidth account (I have one?!?) and will switch. Who knows? Maybe I WILL post more now. I certainly have had more 'thoughts' of late but feel like I have no place to put them. I mostly write for myself nowadays, which is not really conducive to public posting like FB, etc. The comments I get here are just icing on the cake, you know?

Sometimes it's nice to have a semi-private space where you can post your thoughts or just scream into the void :)

I'm doing the same right now.

I won't be deleting my journal or any entries. I'll be moving or more like staying active on other places.

Nowadays, I don't post much, no time to sit alone & quietly to unscramble my thoughts. Posting pics is a challenge, but proves to be easier right now.

I hope we can keep in touch in a different place ^^
