Oh sorry, I should've clarified that bit. It's what the Catholic church calls their religious education program but to be honest I have no clue what (if anything) it stands for.
Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD)is the official name of the Catholic Church's religious educational program. I went to parochial school so I didn't ever have to go to CCD. Religion class was built into daily studies. I can understand and respect your lack of interest. Most any subject needs to be studied to get the most enjoyment out of it. One of my favorite classes in college was Comparative Religions.
Children can be guided, shown things, but not forced. We have no formal religion, yet have friends from every religion. We are tolerant but not believers. I was brought up attending a church three times on Sunday and once in the week. I suppose if asked I believe in the power of good. Interesting entry.
