earlier thise week cricket and i hitched to tacoma, WA, which is basically a shithole. we stayed with this boy, dug. and his girlfriend had a rad vegan barbeque, with a "spodie" which is where you fill up a watermelon with fruit and vodka, and let it sit overnight and it gets you blitzed without you even knowing about it. hehe. it was yumtastic. rafting was amazing!! we all wore wetsuits and looked like we were fish people or space people or in devo and we chased each other around shooting imaginary rayguns and looking really funny. the raft trip was about 8 miles, and took about 2 hours. it was in a really pretty area and there was only like one big rapid(but i wanted MORE!!). it really ( Read more... )

zack and i hitched out to the coast for a few days earlier this week. we wet to tillamook ad then up 101 and to long beach where we slept under a boardwalk, and back down to oswald state park, which is the prettiest place ive ever been, where the old growth forest meets the pacific and all these mountain snowmelt streams run right into the ocean.
