Who took me off their friend list?? i hate that. LJ should do something about that. make a list of who recently removed you, or fade it on your friend of list...something!!! :( k done ranting. sorry.
also, go to download and download Semagic. You can update your friendslist using Semagic, and it will tell you your friends' birthdays, change of names or birthdates, who added you, who removed you, who deleted their journal and who's journal is suspended.
