Baby Names

So Sally said I can not use Danger as a middle name if/when we have a boy. Come on, what boy would not want to have Danger as a middle name. So then I tried for William, with the whole Danger Will Robinson thinking, and that got shot down too. Oh well ( Read more... )

Honestly, I do know a girl who gave her son the middle name Danger - and it sounds retarded. As cool as it sounds in theory, the poor kid's name is Dresden Danger Click. How ridiculous does that sound? And how does that look when he's filling out job applications?

Basically you gotta pick a first name and then find something that fits with that. I picked Nathan first and Christopher sounded better than anything else. If I have another boy his name will be Damien Matthew, cause Matthew is Chris's middle name, plus they sound really good together.

M and I do it all the time - but it's a lot more fun from our end to spread rumor and innuendo among our friends that you and Sally are breeding :)

For what it's worth, I think Danger is a wonderful middle name. Assuming the kid has enough attitude to pull it off (and knowing the parents, I'm sure that won't be a problem), it'd be fun for him/her.

And, with that comment, I'm sure that M will revoke my baby-naming priviliges. Heck, she may even revoke my baby-fathering priviliges, which would put a damper on the relationship.

I like picking a name that sounds really good with the first or one that I always loved but is too freaky as a first name.
So for me a girl would be Autumn Lynn and a boy would be Alexander Pheonix

Don't steel my names :)

I actually went to college with a kid named Joseph Schmoe. Why would anyone do that to their kid?

It's because Dad's middle name is his dad's first name.
I think they figured they'd keep it tradition. Weird thing is that dad is the younger brother of the two and Tom doesn't have grandpa's name as his middle.
go figure.
Erin toyed with the idea of giving our child the middle name 'Chapel'. While it strokes my ego, I dunno.
