End of a generation

So my last grandmother passed away this past Saturday and it is finally hitting me. She was 88 and lived a good life. She lived on her own right up till the end, no nursing homes for her she was to independant a model Irish Granny. I did not really see that much outside of holidays as of late but I will still miss her and her chocolate creme pies ( Read more... )

Think of what she saw in those 88 years - some pretty amazing things. Living on one's own up until the end is a luxury few people get. And, what better epitaph is there than, "she lived a good life." I hope to be able to say the same!
