I don't really post in here all that often. I kind of don't see the point. In High School, I posted because I wanted a way to talk to people indirectly, because I was too shy to do it any other way. Of course, I posted for my own enjoyment, sometimes, too, but it was, honestly, mostly to talk to girls

Personally, I think that what's really key to the "professional world of programming" is just the ability to deal with the organization of code on a massive scale (since most professional programs are ginormous). And that's unfortunately not something you can really get from classes, or from flashy personal projects. (There's a software engineering class at UCF, but it's kind of lame, since a) the programs you can do within the scope of a semester-long class really aren't complex enough to justify the rigorous OOP approach they take, and b) at least when I did it, you had to learn Ada, which is a dumb language.)
Looking forward to the implementation of the tentative "spend more time with people irl" plan next semester.
