as always i think about things that might make a somewhat entertaining post and compose it in my head and swear that i'll post it 'tomorrow' but as you can see, i never ever do it. i'm terrible at tumblr too and that 'haiku a day' plan? never really took off

I want to steal your meme, but I can't think of any actual prompts to give you... Hrm. How about the story where Iruka and Kakashi make a bet?
Hahaha, sorry that's so vague. "orz

anyway, i saw you did the meme too, so excellent. i'll think up something. (muwhahahaa and all that)

Cheaters Never Win and Winners Always Cheat

Iruka glared. Kakashi only thought he was tall because of the four inches his hair gave him. He didn't tower over Iruka, though he tried.
Kakashi was used to betting against Gai, who was too straightforward, and Genma, who was too playful. So smug.
Iruka allowed the small victory, if only to sweeten his own.
i have no idea what's going on here. i imagine kakashi regrets his win. ^_^

Kakashi's hair DOES give him four inches! XD *cackle*

On the meme: I'm not into fanfic, but in case you never wrote a horror X-mas story and care to do so, I'd love my 3 lines :)

i do original too, i just rarely post it. well, rarely finish it to be more precise. i'm trying to work on that! i hope you do this too. that was my ultimate goal, actually. to get others to write at my command. ^_^
A Portion of Thyself

A loud whining noise started in his ears, filling his head with pressure, and trailed across his entire body, radiating cold, electric waves of flight. Run. Run. Run.
Icy moors threatened from the east; a murky, expansive lake filled the horizon, leaving only hell in between.
Behind him, the voice was husky and androgynous, bringing with it the humid air of felled trees and rotting damp. "Why do you want to run? I have a gift for you."
the title came from a quote by emerson: 'the greatest gift is a portion of thyself.' i thought i'd see if i could make that creepy. i'm... not much of a horror writer!

Also, my calling it "merciless" has little to do with the weather. I await the first snow with dread in my heart and, as always, a copy of The Left Hand of Darkness, to get me through.

ah, well, snow is a rarity here, but i adore the brittle despair of winter. thrive in it, to be honest.
i have never read that book, so i've missed any allusion to it. =(
in other news though i think i have a few chapters of yours to catch up on! i look forward to that too!

It's not December. I tell myself that everyday but it only works every other hour.
How about the story where Iruka doesn't know Kakashi personally, but still manages to fall in love with him and keeps that close to his heart without Kakashi knowing FOR YEARS AND YEARS BECAUSE I KNOW YOU LIKE THE ANGST
