Thanks, Marie, the lilies of the valley were my mom's favorite flower. I always think of her when I see or smell them.

You're welcome! My deepest condolences on the passing of your mom. I've always been a spiritual person (not always the most popular position these days!) and I can often feel as if my folks are still watching over us. My mom had had a near death experience many many years before anyone talked about such things and she always told us that death was nothing to be afraid of. Hopefully you can hold on to good memories of your mom. :)

::sobs::

Mom used to stop whenever she saw lilies-of-the-valley, point them out to me, and tell me they were her mother's favorite flowers. Her mother died when she was ten years old.

I've spent the past couple of days feeling ten years old myself, and you may have had some of those over the last three years too. What I mean to say is, I'm so sorry.

Thanks so much, Kris!!!!

The lilies of the valey were my mom's favorite flower so I always think of her when I see them.

I'm still sad at the thought of her passing, but I honestly feel that she's still "around" me. Crazy, I know, but it's very comforting. She had a near death experience in her early twenties (i.e. the 1950's) which was WAY before anyone talked about them. She found great comfort in that and it figured a lot in her attitudes towards death and dying. Whenever I've had doubts about "what comes next" I think back to that and my doubts vanish.

:) Thanks again, my friend!
