Thanks! It came out pretty good. There's always some uncertainty when choosing the eggplant, but this time they were all good.

Some have used the term as a slur for African Americans. The real word for eggplant in Italian is "melanzana" but this has morphed into many variations among Italian-Americans.

And, yes, long live the paisano collective!
