Moving back to a place you have lived before conjures up so many different emotions so many different memories. The person I left is for sure not the same person that I grown to be. NYC changes you, for me I like to think that NYC made me a better person which is why I would never reject the time I spent there. Granted it was an annoying city at ( Read more... )

When are you moving back to Austin? Did you already find a job? I drove through a small part of NYC, like the outskirts but I've never really been in NYC. A couple of friends vacationed there and loved it but I like driving, not public transportation so I would probably hate it.

I hope everything goes well for you!

I moved back about two weeks ago, still in the job hunt. I have a PT gig that I start tomorrow- its money for now. I am waiting to hear back from a firm but they wont be making a decision till next week and I think I have an interview later this week just have to set a time. :-) How are you doing?

Things are going pretty good here for me. Still attempting to finish up my degree. lol. I could have finished this summer but I was just too burned out so ended up delaying my graduation date a year. I only need 20 credit hours ( 5 classes). I could do them in one semester, but I pushed my MBA back a year so decided to spread the classes out. Still plan on taking MCATs in a year or two after I re-take my science/math classes at the community college. Thinking of taking sign language classes as well.

Oh, on the work front, have you heard of a website called www.worktree.com ? A friend told me about it when he moved back to Michigan and it found him a sweet job.

What made you decide to move back to Austin? Just homesick? I wish you the best and it's good to see ya on livejournal again.

Thanks, no I'll check that out.

20 hours is a lot- dont burn yourself out it could affect the grades later on.

I moved back because the quality of life in NYC is pretty shitty. Im glad to be back the ppl here are really great- I wish I didnt still feel 18. Arnt I suppose to feel "older" the older I get, lol. I dont feel THAT MUCh wiser, lol... a little yes but not as much as I would think for a 26 yo. How old are you?
