Hitchhiking to Macedonia

So, apparently a round-trip plane ticket to Macedonia costs about 2 grand. That's about 2 grand more than I have. And yet, it's absolutely necessary for me to go. Anybody want to buy some shit off of me? Damn the need for money to do anything!

Macedonia is kind of northeast of Greece. I want to do an excavation there because my professors say that getting some field experience is really important for padding my resume before I apply for schools again next year. This is the best and cheapest one available, so I really need to get in and find the money to go. My parents are going to try to help me, but they don't have that kind of money.
