to the coward who chose to hide behind annonymity

hei everyone, i'm sure you know of this person who wrote to bewarenerd in response to his views of Paul Tan's article. Well in a way, call me a busy body or blame it on me having too much time on my hand, or for being a slacker master student, i replied to this bugger's comments to bewarenerd's post.

so this guy chose to reply to me via my lj.

Aww, I didn't realise that a stranger could fire you up so much. And by "stranger" I mean me, since we've never met. :-)

This person's main problem is that he hurls personal insults without substance. He hasn't shown why my criticism of Paul Tan's article is substantively wrong; he just didn't like the way I criticised the article. But instead of responding to my writing, just as I responded to Paul Tan's writing, he attacked me personally instead.

PS: Paul Tan is also a Rafflesian. So I don't know where the whole giving-Rafflesians-a-bad-name thing came from.

heh.. that's coz i cannot stand nonsense and illogical arguements.

he's just attacking you and not the topic. don't understand the true meaning of discussion. i wonder how he even pass his term papers. i bet they are those factual ones.. so he don't have to give constructive discussion. and seriously, i think he's one of those who got into such a good uni in states coz he mug like a mad man in jc. oh well. i say, good luck to him.

i say the whole rafflesian thing is due to lack of grey matter to say anything constructively. did you notice he kept contradicting himself?

Actually, I could have posted on bewarenerd's website just as easily, since I’m a “coward” hiding behind my screen of "anonymity". I just wanted to spare you the ignominy to having to reply on his website with your atrocious standard of English. So we're sending people for who can't even write maintain the same tense within the same paragraph for master's programs in Australia? You're probably a very lucky girl, or a very rich, mentally-challeneged one ( ... )

from someone who claims that his english is good, i'm surprise that i still can pick out mistakes. let me clarify something: i do not self-proclaim myself to be terrific with this language. and i am very modest about that.

i am rich and pampered. so sue me! and i am supposed to be mentally challenged because i CHOSE to study here in australia? i think you've managed once again, to insult not only me, but all those people who chose to study here.so if i am mentally challenged why do you bother replying to my post? why not just brush me off? because i've annoyed you? in a way that was my aim when i started out with my previous posts. (and i do admit, bewarenerd serves a very good challenge, which i'm afraid you're not his match at all.) that's also because i have low tolerance for nonsense. for stupid arrogance, for thinking that because you come from a certain top boy school, you have the right to force opinions down people's throats. for not understanding simple metaphores, and for being so blind to see past your own ego ( ... )

but sherlee, what if he/she doesn't have an lj. i mean, would "tim" or "nathan" or "malena" at the end of the message count for anything? it's not like it really matters lah. it's just a drop-in comment. leave it alone.

NOW COME DOWN AND SEE ME>
