Alma Mahler, Clara Schumann, Fanny Mendelssohn... it's not fair to call those women famous artist's muses. They were great composers/artists but not allowed to establish. When I listen to some of their works, I'm still convinced that they were more gifted than their partners but stopped from developping their talents.
