Civic duty accomplished

I got there ten minutes before the polls opened. By the appointed time I couldn't see the end of the line. Go civic-minded Bedfordians!

Yay! I'm hoping to bring the children mid afternoon when I hope things are a little bit quieter. And Joe likes voting so much that he wants to go twice, so John will bring him after work and before supper.

I'm very excited that both races are so close, it seems as if the primaries actually mean something this year.

I doubt that Shirley will have that much of line. I've never had to wait a second when I've gotten there. It's sad really, innermonkey and I are the only ones on our street who are registered to vote.

Hmmm, I'm glad I didn't go first thing, then! I am going to try on my way home from work, late afternoon.

One of the last things Bedford's late selectman Gordon Feltman did last week was to get an absentee ballot and get his vote in:

"By Monday, his condition had deteriorated, and he was on oxygen. But he wanted to file an absentee vote for Tuesday's presidential primary. Town Clerk Doreen Tremblay visited his hospital room that day to help him fill out his ballot."
