So, we're going to put an offer in on House 2.  House 1 wasn't a very serious consideration, mostly because there had been zero updating done, and they kept some of the original architecture - weirdly, there was a closet built in the middle of the living room right when you come in.  Not needed structurally, but really broke up the flow of the

I wish I would have had our house blessed when we moved in. We found out (I forget how) that someone did die here, too, and that was the reason the house was originally sold -- long before we ever bought the house. We're the third or fourth owner of the place (the house is 50 years old and we've lived here 20 years!) But we do have a ghost who was very active in the early years. Fred is harmless, and I do see him wandering about every so often. But I do wonder if having the house blessed would have calmed his soul.

The daughter, on the other hand, had an evil spirit living in the house they bought, and the evil spirit terrorized their bedroom. Threw clothes around and did some really disgusting things to the bed. They actually had an exorcism done and haven't been bothered since. The evil spirit never bothered the daughter or the kids because they were all baptized. Instead, it focused on the son in law, who was not. They told us about it because we lived in a house with a ghost we all saw, so they knew we'd believe them.
