I think it is more telling that she says, "These are my parents." I still introduce my parental units as "my dad and stepmom" or "my mom and stepfather" and it has been 27 years!

My feelings exactly about Hanoi. I'll pass through on the way to the highlands, but that place is fucking insane. Loved it for about 3 hours, and after that I just wanted to go home. I take it Carrie is not living or working in the Old Quarter? Things seemed much calmer the farther you got from that area.
I just want to go back to Laos. So gorgeous, and the people are so chill.
