In my fair city this week and last there’s been a lot of Scottish music. There’s a woman who’s been active in the local Scottish community (who knew?) for years, and she’s a retired music teacher and she does a program each year where she brings in top notch Scottish musicians to teach in local schools. I think the source singers with a little bit of bellamy turned in is what captures it from my mind. I think that clip of Nic Jones singing with those guys that I posted way back (and liked to) is a great example of this sort of thing, even though I think their setting of the song was kind of lame from a taste persepctive.

but yeah, I think I write posts like this to see what you'll say.
