Yawn...

And a very merry Wednesday morning to you all (it is Wednesday, isn't it...?)
So, we had a very pleasant Easter weekend at the really rather excellent Hill House, where Duncan provided us with breakfasts of such gargantuan proportions that I am still walking with a slight waddle...

Whilst out and about in the beautiful Wye valley, we couldn't help but notice that this year seems to be a bumper year for mistletoe - great clumps of it appeared to hang from virtually every tree - maybe the druids are plotting something....?

Probably did a bit too much driving to be truly relaxing, but being mobile did mean we got to see loads of owls at the, er, owl farm... including this chap, who is the most animatronic live thing I've ever seen:

Then, to round off the weekend, we met up with my mum and stepfather at Tintern Abbey for food, much tea and a wander around the remains of the abbey, which is bigger than I remembered from my last visit (some 13 years ago!):

So now I've got the rest of the week off to try and tart up our scruffy wee flat and make it at least halfway saleable.... we need to get things moving pretty sharpish now.

And finally, lady_lykaina, if you are suffering from Life On Mars withdrawal, I'm quite happy to occasionally kick down your door and shout, "you are surrounded by heavily armed bastards!" at you, but in the mean time, see if you can detect me a packet of garibaldis....
