A nail in the coffin for "democratic" freedom was the under-reporting of the marches against the war in Iraq. The big march, of at least 3 million people, has been quietly reduced to "approximately" 100,000 in the media. Other marches since have not even made it onto the headlines. It's a sick world we live in when "posh goes to America" is a headline, and the televised torture of an Egyptian detainee (on Al Jazeera) isn't. The feeling of helplessness in the face of true oppression and removal of rights, is easily salved by a diet of Eastenders and reality TV, and the PTB know this only too well.

I can only think that the diet of chemicals that parents are encouraged to feed their children, leading to the growth of ill-educated pawns, is part of some giant conspiracy to bring about a police-state? Paranoid?? Me??
